New Hyundai Elantra to Debut at Auto Expo 2016

Hyundai is all set to unveil its new Elantra sedan at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. Hyundai had previously showcased the Elantra at the LA Motor Show last year.

The new updated Elantra will be replacing the current model. In terms of design, the new Elantra will not feature Hyundai’s Fluidic 2.0 design philosophy. The updated design does, however, borrow some elements from the G90 luxury sedan from the Genesis brand like the chrome accented, 5-slat hexagonal front grille.

The sedan is powered by an all-new 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engine. The engines will be mated to an optional 6-speed manual and an automatic gearbox.

The interiors have some changes as well with an all black colour scheme with silver-grey highlights. Furthermore, you get a Harmon touchscreen infotainment system that’s angled towards the driver. The interior has a premium quality look and feel to it. On the tech front, the car will feature Smart Cruise Control, hands-free Smart Trunk, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and BlueLink connectivity.

Safety features in the Elantra include safety features include Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection, High Beam Assist (HBA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane Departure Warning, and Lane Change Assistance.

The all-new Elantra will debut at the Auto Expo and will see a launch later this year.
