The All-New Ford Figo Launches In India At a Starting Price Of Rs. 4,29,900

Ford has announced an all-new Figo at an introductory price, starting at Rs. 429,900. The first feature that stands out about this car is that it is the only hatchback in India to have up to six airbags for all-round protection.

This new hatchback will come with a choice of two engines – a petrol engine with 18.16Km/L and a diesel engine with 25.83Km/L. Both engines will be powered to deliver up to 88PS and 100PS respectively; with the petro engine being able to deliver up to 112PS with a PowerShift automatic transmission of 1.5L TiVCT.

The all-new Ford Figo also comes with connectivity solutions like MyFord Dock and SYNC along with Ford AppLink. The FordDock allows you to store, mount and charge mobile phones, MP3 players, and also allows you to integrate these devices into the car’s entertainment system. You also have an option to pick a Figo equipped with the Ford AppLink for even better connectivity. This feature allows you to control your phone, entertainment and apps without using your hands. In India, especially, this app will come with another in-app feature called Explore by MapMyIndia, which will give you information about nearby food destinations and other places.

Figo also comes with an Emergency Assistance feature that uses SYNC and a Bluetooth-paired phone to call emergency responders automatically and provide information about your vehicle and location.

On the design front, it has a wheelbase of 2,491 mm along with more than enough legroom, knee room and shoulder room. It has a ground-clearance of 174 mm, and fold flat rear seats too.

To elaborate on the airbag feature – this new car will have up to six airbags, along with side and curtain bags for complete protection. Its predecessor had arrived with dual front airbags, whereas this new model is said to be one of its kind.

It will also come in 6 various trims and 7 colours. The 6 trimms include – Base, Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium and Titanium+ while the 7 colours include – Ruby Red, Sparkling Gold, Oxford White, Tuxedo Black, Deep Impact Blue, Ingot Silver and Smoke Grey.
