Volvo Will Be Launching the Petrol Variant of S60 T6 Next Week

After launching three new cars this year, V40 Cross Country petrol, new-generation XC90 and the V40 hatchback, Volvo is now planning to bring in the petrol version of the S60 T6 on July 3, 2015. For now, Volvo just has the D4 and the D5 diesel variants on sale in India.

The next petrol model will derive its power from a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that churns out a maximum power output of 304bhp and 400Nm. An eight-speed automatic gearbox will be transmitting power to the front wheels of the car. It is capable of reaching 100Km/h from standstill in a 5.9 seconds with the top speed of 230Km/h. Since it will just be a petrol image of the car, there will be minimal design or feature changes.

On the feature front, the S60 T6 is expected to be well-equipped with an electronic climate control system, a sunroof, leather seats, power-adjustable seats, a digital TFT instrument cluster, active bending headlights with LED daytime running lights, park assist and a 7-inch infotainment system.

The S60 T6 will take on the petrol versions of BMW 3-Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. It is set to launch on 3rd July. The Volvo S60 will only come in the T6 variant and will be priced around Rs. 35 lakh.
