All New BMW 3-Series GT Sport Line Debuts in India

Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW) recently refreshed its 3-Series Gran Turismo line-up with the launch of another variant in India. The new Gran Turismo Sport edition is a cheaper version of 3-Series GT Luxury line and will cost you Rs. 39.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is Rs. 4.5 lakh lesser. The car will be available in four shades – three metallic (Black Sapphire, Imperial Blue Brilliant Effect and Midnight Blue) and one non-metallic (Alpine White).

The all new BMW Sports sedan embraces a 2.0-litre diesel engine, just the same installed on the Luxury Line. The aggressive machine churns out 184bhp at 4,000rpm and produces a maximum torque of 380Nm. As per the company, the Sport Line features striking exterior and interior design elements, promises unbridled dynamics and sets clear visual accents. Another feature includes driving experience control switch, which offers driver different driving modes to choose from to suit the driving conditions.

The President of BMW Group India, Mr. Philipp von Sahr commented at the launch –

It’s not just the striking look or generous interior that makes the new BMW 3-Series Gran Turismo so fascinating. Its striking design features in high-gloss Black portray a vigorous look, further reinforcing the unmistakable sporting character.

The BMW 320d Gran Turismo Sport Line will be assembled locally at the company’s plant in Chennai. The luxury car maker is stressing on localising product manufacturing. More than 60 percent of its models sold in India are assembled here.
