The new Competition Package announced by the company for the M6 range, will increase the power by 25bhp and will now deliver 592bhp. This will make the Coupe go from 0-62mph in a mere 3.9 seconds. The heavier Convertible and Gran Coupe will complete the same sprint in 4.0 seconds flat.

Peak torque is also boosted by 20Nm, with all M6 models developing 700Nm between 1,500rpm and 6,000rpm. The top speed comes with a cap, limited to 155mph, but buyers can remove this by specifying the optional M Driver’s Package.

The improvements in power and torque enables the M6 Coupe to hit 124mph (200Kmph) in just 11.8 seconds, this upgrade is six tenths faster than before.

Other significant changes to the M6 Competition Package include upgrades to the dampers, firmer springs, retuned differential and anti-roll bars making all models stiffer and sturdier than before. The steering too, has been made sharper and more direct claims the company.
