Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 Comes to India For Rs 3.43 crore

Luxury sports car maker Lamborghini has launched its latest, the Huracan LP610-4, at a price of Rs 3.43 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi). First unveiled back in March at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the Huracan is a successor to the now discontinued Lamborghini Gallardo.

Sebastien Henry, head (south-east Asia and Pacific), Lamborghini, said, “We expect the new Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 to be well-received in this country.” Pointing out that the company was very proud to officially launch the new model in India, Henry said that it could go from 0-200 kmph in 9.9 seconds. “Automobile Lamborghini continues to set new benchmarks in the luxury super sports car industry with its pure and cutting edge technology,” he said.

The Lamborghini Huracan is powered by a 5.2-litre, naturally aspirated V10 engine which produces 618PS of peak power at 8250rpm and peak torque of 560Nm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, which is a first for Lamborghini. The Italian supercar manufacturer claims that the Huracan can go from 0-100kmph in 3.2 seconds and 0-200kmph in 9.9 seconds with a top speed of more than 325kmph. The Lamborghini Huracan currently comes with an all wheel drive, the lighter and more powerful rear wheel drive version is expected to debut next year.

Lamborghini already has two exclusive showrooms in India – in New Delhi and Mumbai. However, the demand of their cars has grown in recent years. Lamborghini sold 14 units in 2011, 17 in 2012 and 22 in 2013, which shows the growth trajectory for supercars in India. To cater to this growing demand, the company will soon be opening a new showroom by the end of this year in Bangalore.
