Honda ties up with Tour de India 2013, CBR250R Official Bike

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, (HMSI) has made an official announcement of its association with Tour de India 2013. Tour de India is India’s biggest cycling race organized by ID sports. The event will be hosted on December 15,17 and 22 in Mumbai, Jaipur and Delhi respectively.

The event takes place across three cities, and this helps Honda to further connect with the urban population. “’We are proud to be associated with an initiative like Tour De India. It will connect with the youth and motivate them to adopt cycling as a part of their regular sporting culture. Honda CBR250R is one of India’s favorite and most Awarded sports bike, and it would complement the young racing enthusiasts participating in Tour de India 2013,” said Y. S. Guleria, VP – sales & marketing, HMSI.

The Honda CBR250R is the official lead bike for the TDI 2013 races. It is powered by a 249cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine which churns out 26Bhp and 23Nm of torque. The engine is mated with 6-speed manual transmission and it will be competing with the bike likes Hyosung GT250 R, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Duke 390.
