BMW Mini Cooper S Hits Indian Roads, Priced at Rs 34.65 lakh

BMW India launched the Cooper D 3-door and 5-door a few months back. Now the company is back with the 3-Door Cooper S. The UK based car maker claims that the petrol version is aimed towards serious Mini enthusiasts while the diesel version towards new brand loyalists.

With a top speed of 233 kmph, the Mini Cooper S is the most powerful among the Mini line-up. It sports a 2.0 litre four cylinder twin turbo unit with 192PS and 280Nm of torque. The engines, which has been developed right from the scratch, can touch 100kmph in just 6.7 seconds. It comes with a 6-speed automatic Steptronic gearbox.

Meanwhile, on the outside, the 3-Door Mini Cooper S looks similar to the diesel variant. All excluding the new grille and bumper up front and 10-spoke alloy wheels. Much of the inside stay in tune with the retro-Mini look.

Minis have always had a knack for speed and agility, and the new Mini Cooper S takes that passion even further. The powerful Mini TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder engine takes the classic Mini go-kart feeling to new heights as it revels in the mindblowing force of increased power and acceleration. The Mini Cooper S 3-Door is priced at Rs. 34.65 lakh and will be available will be accessible at Mini dealerships across India as an entirely built-up unit from today onwards.
