BMW S1000R unveiled

BMW has unveiled the semi-faired version of it’s S1000RR, called the S1000R. This motorcycle mated with minimal body panels but resembles track focused sibling. The BMW S1000R is powered by 999cc , in-line four cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as on the S1000RR which has been tuned differently.

The engine delivers maximum power of 160Bhp and 111Nm of torque. The S1000R has been tuned for more low and mid-range and it is more friendly in an urban environment.

The S1000R gets a ride-by-wire throttle, automatic stability control, traction control, damping control and a race anti-lock braking system. The S1000R tips the scales at 207kg and uses inverted telescopic forks upfront and a monoshock at the rear which comes bolted onto an alloy swingarm.
