DSK Set to Launch Five TNT Benelli Bikes in India on March 19

DSK Benelli just sent us an invite which says, “Get Ready To Listen To A Benelli on 19th March 2015”. It further says ‘block your calender’, signifying the joint venture announced last year between DSK Motowheels and Italian bike manufacturer Benelli is going to launch 5 motorbikes in India. In addition, the company has also announced that bookings for the newly launched bikes begin on the 10th of March.

Five Tornado Naked Tre Benelli motorcycles will be launched including the TNT 300, TNT 600 GT, TNT 600i, TNT 899 and the TNT 1130. The entry level variants are expected to arrive as CKD (completely knocked down) units, while bikes ranging from 899cc and 1130cc would be imported directly from Italy.

The entry level TNT 300 gets a 300cc liquid cooled 4 stroke 4 valve DOHC inline engine that churns out 37bhp at 11,500rpm and 27Nm of torque at 9000rpm, while powering the wheels will be a six speed gearbox. The mid-range TNT 600i and TNT 600 GT will be powered by a 600 cc engine churning out 82bhp and 52Nm and 55Nm of torque, respectively.

Meanwhile, the TNT 899 gets powered by a 899cc liquid-cooled engine that churning out 121bhp of power and 88Nm of torque. Finally, the cream of the crop – the Benelli TNT 1130R is powered by a 1131cc liquid cooled 4 stroke 4 valve DOHC inline with balancer shaft. The engine churns out 130bhp at 10,200rpm with a peak torque of 120Nm at 8400rpm.

Moreover, there will be three more additions to the Benelli range which will include two 250cc models – TNT 25, Blackster 250 and one 1,130 cc tourer-Trek Amazonas. Meanwhile, dealerships for DSK Benelli India have also been announced, the list in the image below:
