BMW Launches the New X6 Model Starting at Rs. 1.15 Crores
BMW has launched the new X6, a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) in India at the ex-showroom price of Rs 1,15,00,000. With the X6 xDrive40d model, BMW has made the M Sport package standard. The M sport package includes premium accessories such as premium leather steering wheels and aerodynamic kit.
“BMW established the Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) segment with the introduction of BMW X6 and continues its success story…the second generation again perfectly combines quintessential BMW X qualities with elegance of a BMW coupe. The all-new BMW X6 with the M Sport package sees BMW once again setting the benchmark for extravagant, emotive design, luxurious interiors and extensive customisation options,” said Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India.
The X6 is powered by a TwinPower turbo six-cylinder in-line diesel engine that can put out 313bhp with a maximum torque of 600Nm. It comes with an 8-speed sport automatic transmission and can accelerate the car from 0-100Km/h in just 5.8 seconds, with a top-speed of 240Km/h. Other features include intelligent Lightweight Construction, Brake Energy Regeneration, Electric Power Steering and 50:50 Weight Distribution.
The new X6 also has a leather-wrapped M steering wheel, M badged door sills, individual headliner, a Harman Kardon sound system, paddle shifters, heads-up display and a choice of four interior trims. BMW has revised the exterior and interior for the new X6. The car now sports a new front bumper with high-set fog lamps, a faux skid plate, wide kidney grille and large front air inlets with horizontal chrome trims.
Currently, the car has no direct competition in India, although it is expected that the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé will prove itself as a worthy rival.
