Volkswagen Jetta Facelift Ready to Arrive India in 2015

The German carmaker Volkswagen came up with a facelift version of Jetta and now the company is geared to introduce this into the Indian market. The sedan is likely to come on Indian soil in the first quarter of 2015.

The Jetta facelift has undergone some major changes from outside and minimal from inside. It packs a triple-slat chrome grille along with restyled bumper. The wheel arches are replaced with the all-new alloy wheels. A new LED tail lamp cluster and tweaked bumper come at the rear end of the new India-bound model.

The mechanism of the Jetta facelift is the same of its predecessors. It features 1.4-litre TFSI petrol and 2.0-litre TDI diesel units. The petrol engine can churn out 120bhp and 200Nm of torque, while the petrol variant can produce energy of 138bhp.

The interiors feature a new music system with piano-black surrounds and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel. It is yet to be announced whether the Indian Jetta facelift would get EA288 TDI engine or not. It has been priced at Rs. 13.70 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Meanwhile, it can stand against the likes of Hyundai Elantra and Skoda Octavia.
