Tesla Delivered 50, 580 Vehicles in 2015, A New Annual Record

Last year has proved to be extremely successful for Tesla, especially the last quarter where Tesla delivered more Model S vehicles than ever before. A total of 17, 400 models were delivered to customers in the last quarter, setting an all time record in the process.

This figure translates into a 75% increase in the number of Model S deliveries in Q4 of 2015 as compared to the same quarter a year before. The Q4 figures combined with the previous three quarters gives Tesla a total of 50, 580 deliveries in 2015 beating its previous annual record of 33,154 in 2014.

Tesla is all set to rake in the numbers in 2016 as well, likely aiming for a higher figure now given the launch of the Model X and the growing consumer interest towards electric vehicles. “We prioritize quality above all else…with the daily production rate in the last week of the year tracking to production of 238 Model X vehicles per week,” the company said.
