BMW 3 Series and 5 Series Available at Massive Discounts in India

In a bid to make up for the bad sales in 2014, BMW dealerships are wooing customers with heavy discounts of upto Rs 5 lakh for the 3 Series and 5 Series. Demand for both the models is quite low as it faces stiff competition from the Mercedes-Benz C and E-Class and Audi’s A4 and A6.

A  few dealerships are offering a discount of Rs 5 lakh for entry level 520d 5 Series, while a Rs 2.5 lakh cash discount for the more powerful 530d with the 3-litre six-cylinder block. The 3 Series on the other hand is being offered with a flat Rs 3 lakh cash discount across all variants.

The 520d comes with engine start/stop system offered in a new Eco Pro mode. This fourth driving mode (the other three being Normal, Sport and Sport Plus) was entirely new to the BMW range available around the globe. And now it’s a standard feature available in BMW cars sold in India as well. The 5-Series was the first to get this technology and it’s simply brilliant. It makes the 5-Series a well rounded car adding a whole new level of flexibility to its massive 3-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine.
