BMW 3-Series Facelift Launched in India
While India was gearing for the launch of the Ford Mustang yesterday, BMW quietly had its own launch with the facelifted 3-Series sedan. The sedan has a starting price tag of Rs 35.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes in four design schemes: Prestige, Sport Line, Luxury Line and M Sport.
The new model comes is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, that gives a maximum power of 190bhp along with 400Nm of torque. BMW’s new 3-Series accelerates from 0-100 kmph in 7.2 seconds with a top speed of 230 kmph.
Being a facelifted model means that the 3-Series has some design changes to it. The LED lights around the car have all been revised. The interiors get electrically adjustable driver and front passenger seats, chrome highlights, high-gloss surfaces and ambient lighting.
Some of the main features of the new 3-Series are Auto Start-Stop, ECO PRO mode, Brake-Energy Regeneration, Intelligent Lightweight Construction and Electronic Power Steering. It also features Navigation system Professional (integrated Global Positioning System-GPS), with an 8.8 inch high-resolution display.
“Forty years ago, the BMW 3 Series established the modern sports sedan segment and is the world’s most widely sold premium vehicle. With its sporty character, the BMW 3 Series epitomises the heart of the BMW brand more than any other model. The new BMW 3 Series will continue to lead this legacy with its sporty design, powerful performance and unmatched efficiency.
