Mercedes-Benz GLE to Launch in India on October 14

The Mercedes-Benz M-Class is getting a facelift with the all new Mercedes-Benz GLE that is soon to make its way onto the Indian roads from the 14th of October. Mercedes India has announced that the GLE SUV will come with the CKD (knock-down) kit and will be assembled in Pune.

The new Mercedes comes with two diesel engine options – 250d and the 350d engines. The India-spec model is expected to get the 3.0-litre V6 diesel that gives 258bhp for the 350d variant and a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel unit producing 203bhp for the 250d. Both options will have a new 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox. The Mercedes GLE will jump from 0-60 mph in 4 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/hr.
