Hyundai’s i20 Active Arrives in India on 17th March

Official renderings of Hyundai’s forthcoming i20 Active crossover were all over the Indian cyberspace, and for good reason. The Korean car maker is finally prepping the official launch of the i20 Active on 17th March in India.

Dubbed as the i20 Active, the vehicle has been designed in Germany at Hyundai Motor’s Design Centre Europe, in Russelsheim, Germany. The new i20 hatch carries forward the same ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0′ design language.

To give a more meaner look, Hyundai is offering plastic cladding all around the body, bigger alloy wheels and a slightly wider wheelbase. It also gets a few cosmetic tweaks, roof rails skid plates to further bolster its crossover-ish demeanour.

The i20 is undeniably one hell of a looker, Hyundai has certainly gone a notch up with the new i20 Active when it comes to design. The car is expected to be priced about Rs. 50,000 more than its i20 hatch sibling, and will likely face some stiff competition against Fiat Avventura, Toyota Etios Cross and Volkswagen Cross Polo.
