Porsche Brings Out the Powerful Targa 911 in India, Priced at Rs. 1.56 Crore

Porsche, the German sports car giants, has launched the 911 Targa 4 in the Indian market and has priced it for a whopping Rs 1.56 crore. The new Targa fuses the classic look of the original model from 1965 and the performance of the seventh 911, in a perfect collaboration.

The 911 is a sports car which has won more races than any other. The car’s arrival here in India signifies a new chapter in the legendary model’s evolution and I am incredibly proud and excited to welcome it.

The Targa 911 features the wide bars in place of the B bars, a movable roof above the front seats and rear window without a C pillar. The roof segment can be opened or closed in 19 seconds.

The Targa model comes in two versions. One is the 911 Targa 4, which is powered by a 3.4 litre, 350 hp engine and reaches 0-100km/hr in 4.5 seconds when equipped with the optional Sports Chrono package. Its top speed is 282 km/hr.

The second variant is the 911 Targa 4S, which is powered by a 3.8 litre, 400 hp engine and reaches 0-100 km/hr in 4.4 seconds when equipped with the optional Sports Chrono pack. Its top speed is 296km/hr. It can also be combined with the Carrera powerkit which can help boost up the power by 30hp.

Both the models are equipped with electrical system recuperation, map-controlled thermal management and auto start/stop function. To increase efficiency, it is equipped with direct fuel injection.
