GM Preps Tesla’s Rival, the All-Electric Chevy Bolt

General Motors are apparently prepping to go head on against Tesla with a new electric vehicle called Chevy Bolt (not the Volt), that too at a relatively attractive price point. The all new electric vehicle can travel 200 miles on a single charge and is expected to launch by 2017 for $30,000, pitting it directly against Tesla’s Model 3.

GM will showcase the concept of this all-electric vehicle on at the Detroit Show, along with the redesigned Volt hybrid. Sources also cited that the concept version will look more like a crossover vehicle and can drive 4 times more than the Chevy Volt hybrid on a single charge.

Stay tuned, we’ll keep you updated as more details emerge from the Detroit Motor  Show.
