CES 2015: Chevrolet Unveils Redesigned Volt 2016

Chevrolet has given us a first glimpse of its redesigned 2016 Chevrolet Volt at a CES press event in Las Vegas. The hybrid will officially debut at the Detroit Motor Show next week, though other details or specifics have not been revealed yet.

All we can clearly see is the cars revamped front which looks quite different from the original Volt. The original Volt was the first hybrid that was primarily an electric car, while the gasoline engine was used as a back up to recharge the car’s batteries when they died out.

Meanwhile, the company has kept details about its new Volt under the wraps, though sources indicate the Volt will be powered by a new 1.5 litre engine and likely to feature a bigger battery unit.

The revamped Chevy Volt 2016 is a big deal for the company and GM seems all geared up to reveal the car at the Detroit Motor Show next week. The car was showcased on stage for just a few moments before being concealed again. So that’s all that we have on the new Chevrolet Volt.
