At 1500 Horse Power, Bugatti’s Next Car To Go Where Veyron Never Went

Remember the time you first saw the world’s fastest Street-legal production car, the Bugatti Veyron? We thought this massive bodied car would never be able to take on the likes of Lamborginis and the Koenigseggs. But the Veyron proved us all wrong. Indeed the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, set a record with a top speed of 408.84 km/h and the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport stepped things up with 431 kilometres top speed. Though the Hennessy Venom GT set a Guinness Book Record of 435.31 km/h, but it couldn’t beat Veyron because of its limited production till date.

The Veyron brand will be out of production in the coming year, but you need not worry, Bugatti has bigger plans for the future.

The new monster will have a 1500 PS heart.

The new monster will have a 1500 PS heart.

Reuters reports that the next offering by Bugatti will go ahead of Veyron and be able to break its predecessor’s insurmountable world record. The car is stated to have an inimitable 1500 horse power. The Volkswagan owned French manufacturers might unleash just 450 of these 16 cylindered bad boys. The car is also expected to have a lighter body frame to make it more efficient.

The best part about this advancement, the new car might just be a hybrid. The company has been enthusiastic about shifting to hybrid propulsion system. They want to reduce emmissions and boost performance of their cars and hybrid would let them do just that.

Now it will not be until next year, till we finally get to see what is real, but this news definitely gets us excited. The fastest car is just about to get a lot faster.
